Pioneers of the Future is a vicious romp through the politics of the personal. When Salome, daughter of two of America’s preeminent psychoanalysts, brings her new boyfriend Chuck home for Christmas, a lot more than figgy pudding awaits them. Granny’s gone senile. Mommy and Daddy want to talk about Salome’s vaginal lubrication issues. And Chuck may still be working for his old mentor Dr. Lester, an FBI man turned self-help guru with a plan to rid America of its scourge of intellectuals. A Christmas comedy about the impossibility of normalcy in the age of new normals.
